I'm getting ready to head back home now and get some sleep. We've had a very productive day, today. Got a lot of work and cleaning done, and everyone's got a good attitude.

Good time to call it a day.

You know what, friends? The world is beautiful. If you've not been thinking so, lately, I highly recommend you take a walk or a joyride and admire the scenery around you, and the inherent beauty in nature. There is beauty in all things; it's only a matter of how closely or how far away you look at it.

I've now settled down with a bowl of soup, chillin' out after working half the day on getting things ready for my submissions to the showing at Creative 101 this Saturday. Just got back from the gallery. I am very satisfied with my work, this time around. I expect we'll have a good show, and hopefully I'll sell something. I really could use the money, these days. I'm going to guilt my friends into coming. ;p

I'm attempting to actually sell custom artwork on Gaia Online for a cheap $1 - $5 fee. I don't know how well that's going to go over, but I have my hopes. Gaia seems to be suffering from some glitches right now, though. Nothing is updating on the forums.

I have been having a pretty productive start of the week, I can say. I threw together several abstract digital artwork to submit to the showing I'm going to be having at Creative 101, this Saturday. I've been learning a lot about Photoshop since I'd started on my latest batch of abstracts. The work I have ready now is 10 times better than the work I had submitted to my previous show. I'm very proud of my progress, but I've got a ways to go before I'm satisfied with how comprehensive my ability is. So I'll be educating myself further in Photoshop tutorials as the days go by.

I went to Bel Chere in Asheville -- for the first time in my life -- with Anna, last Saturday. It was pretty darn fun, and I quickly understood why the festival was such a big deal. We didn't stay but about 3 hours, though. Anna got a cool henna tattoo at Bel Chere.

I do have one complaint about last weekend: the traffic situations. I tell you and I mean it, I have never met with a more dense concentration of stupid traffic issues. On my way to Bel Chere, this fool races past me BY GETTING ON THE MEDIAN. On the night coming home from Bel Chere, another damned fool runs across the highway for kicks. I was three seconds away from tearing his ass into the pavement. And the next day, the same thing happens, exept there was two people doing it instead. Also, I got tailed by some state trooper asshole who was following me only because I was wearing a t-shirt. He did a u-turn on the highway and deliberately followed me to the edge of his jurisdiction. I also had some trouble parallel parking that day.

But anyway. Moving right along.
